Creating the Next Generation of SAP Experts in Japan with K2 University’s Fuji Program

K2 University Japan first launched the Fuji Program in 2021 to give students the training they needed to get certified in leading technologies. By gaining vital professional skills and knowledge, the students became some of the most in-demand professionals in the Japanese market. Thanks to the first Fuji Program’s success, K2 University is now launching the next Fuji Program to develop a brand new generation of SAP experts.

The Fuji Program is aimed at students who want to start a rewarding career in SAP after leaving university.  In just one month, senior consultants give them a key overview of SAP S/4HANA and hands-on experience by tackling real-life scenarios. The only thing they need to qualify for the program is to have a business level of fluency in Japanese and an interest in technology.

Gaining both theoretical training and practical skills means that each of the participants is equipped to deliver key SAP solutions and drive digital transformation. Once they complete the program, we introduce them to leading businesses in Japan. If these organisations choose to employ a participant they benefit significantly. The new talent is ready to start working on key projects straight away, saving money and boosting ROI for their new employer.

Kazufumi Misawa previously served as Managing Director of Accenture, Senior Managing Executive Officer of SAP Japan and President of Siemens PLM Software (now Digital Industries Software) before becoming a university lecturer. He shared his thoughts about the initiative:

“I believe that K2 University’s Fuji Program is key in addressing the significant gaps in university students’ skillsets. It’s devised so that the essence of SAP, which is the core skill that companies are looking for today, can be learned very easily and efficiently regardless of someone’s background.”

The next Fuji program begins in June 2023. Registration begins on the 19th of May and will end on the 31st of May. The only criteria for the Fuji Program’s applicants are motivation, strong communication skills and being fluent in Japanese. Once certified, participants will be ready to deliver SAP solutions for leading consulting firms.
