Engineering Manager – Cloud & IT Services
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead our cloud and IT services team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, agile environment, enjoys empowering teams, and wants to drive technical excellence at scale.
Your Responsibilities
- Empowerment: Support and foster the strengths of your team, helping them achieve their goals.
- Talent Acquisition: Identify and attract the right talent to strengthen the team’s capabilities.
- Service Ownership: Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud services, ensuring high operational performance.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews to guarantee scalability, maintainability, and correctness.
- Advocacy: Champion your team so they can focus fully on their work.
- Culture & Collaboration: Promote an open, blameless culture and collaborate closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Agile Coaches.
- Strategic Vision: Understand customer needs, define technical product visions, and contribute to the roadmap.
Your Profile
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in software development and product implementation.
- Leadership: 3+ years in technical leadership roles (including project oversight) and 2+ years in personnel management.
- Mindset: Passionate Servant Leader, guiding and supporting team members’ growth.
- Technical Skills:
- Expert Kubernetes knowledge (CKAD, CKA, or equivalent)
- Networking expertise (Linux networking, routing, SDN)
- Operator development experience
- Bonus: Experience with OpenStack
- Soft Skills: Agile team player with strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Languages: Business fluent in English; German is a strong plus.
