Position: Oracle Security Implementation Consultant

Overview
The Oracle Security Consultant plays a critical role in safeguarding an organization’s Oracle ecosystem.
This position focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls across Oracle applications, databases, and cloud services.
The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong analytical skills to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and protect sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Architecture & Design — Develop and implement security frameworks for Oracle databases, applications, and cloud environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
- Access & Identity Management — Configure and manage user provisioning, role-based access control (RBAC), and segregation of duties (SoD) across Oracle platforms.
- Vulnerability Assessment — Conduct regular security assessments, patch reviews, and configuration audits to identify and remediate risks.
- Compliance & Governance — Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements such as SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards.
- Incident Response — Support investigation and resolution of security incidents involving Oracle systems.
- Security Hardening — Apply best practices for database and application hardening, encryption, auditing, and monitoring.
- Project Support — Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Oracle implementations, upgrades, and migrations to ensure security is integrated throughout the lifecycle.
- Documentation & Reporting — Maintain clear documentation of security configurations, policies, and procedures; prepare audit-ready reports.
- Stakeholder Advisory — Provide guidance to IT, compliance, and business teams on Oracle security risks and mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience securing Oracle databases, applications (e.g., E-Business Suite, Fusion), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of database security, identity and access management, encryption, and audit controls.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle security tools such as:
- Oracle Database Vault
- Oracle Audit Vault & Database Firewall
- Oracle Identity Governance / Oracle Access Manager
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001) and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting for automation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle security certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Cloud Security).
- Experience with cloud security in multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Background in penetration testing or vulnerability management.
- Knowledge of SIEM tools and security monitoring platforms.
