Duration: 6 Months
Work schedule: 5 pm to 2 am IST (US EST)

Job description:
- We are seeking a Business Solutions Engineer to join our team. This role centers on understanding business processes deeply and translating them into scalable Salesforce solutions using the platform's declarative toolset.
- This is not a code-first role: we're looking for someone who thinks in process maps and business outcomes first, and who reaches for clicks-not-code wherever possible, partnering with developers when custom code is truly required.
- The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with hands-on fluency in Salesforce Flow, data modeling, and platform configuration, and can independently translate stakeholder needs into production-ready, maintainable solutions.
- Candidates with direct experience in call center operations, lead and territory management, or order management processes are especially valuable, since these are core process domains this role will support.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Design & Declarative Automation:
- Design and build advanced Record-Triggered Flows, Screen Flows, and approval processes to automate business processes
- Configure and maintain custom objects, validation rules, page layouts, and security/sharing models
- Optimize automation for maintainability and platform best practices, avoiding unnecessary complexity
Business Analysis & Solution Design:
- Partner directly with stakeholders to understand current-state processes and pain points
- Translate business requirements into clear technical designs and configuration plans
- Create and maintain BRDs (Business Requirement Documents), process maps, and solution design documentation
- Communicate technical tradeoffs in plain business language
Platform Configuration & Data Management:
- Manage integrations between Salesforce and external systems primarily through low-code tools such as Flow, Named Credentials, and External Services, escalating to development resources when custom Apex or API work is required
- Maintain data quality, reporting, and dashboards to support business decision-making
Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement:
- Act as the first point of escalation for flow errors, automation issues, and process breakdowns
- Analyze debug logs and error messages to diagnose root causes, looping in developer resources
- for deeper code-level fixes
- Continuously identify opportunities to simplify and improve existing processes
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Salesforce experience, with deep hands-on expertise in declarative development: Flow (Record-Triggered and Screen Flows), validation rules, and process automation
- Strong business process analysis and requirements-gathering skills
- Experience configuring custom objects, page layouts, security/sharing models, and reports/dashboards
- Familiarity with integration concepts (Named Credentials, External Services, basic API/JSON concepts)—deep coding expertise is not required
- Comfortable partnering with developers on more complex integration or Apex needs Valued Process Domain Experience
- Experience in any of the following business process domains is a strong plus — we'd rather teach Salesforce configuration to someone who deeply understands these processes than teach process thinking to a pure technologist:
- Call center management — queue routing, agent workflows, case management, SLAs, and service-level reporting
- Leads and territory management — lead routing/assignment rules, scoring, territory alignment, and pipeline visibility
- Order management — quote-to-cash processes, order lifecycle tracking, fulfillment workflows, and approvals
Preferred qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (Highly Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified App Builder
- Salesforce Certified Business Analyst
- Experience with Box, SendGrid, or similar integrations at a configuration level
- Familiarity with Data 360 / Snowflake concepts
- Exposure to Salesforce DevOps / CI-CD tools a plus, but not required
