The Opportunity
A leading international industrial group headquartered in the Verona area is embarking on a strategic SAP S/4HANA Greenfield transformation program aimed at redesigning, harmonizing and standardizing business processes across the organization.
To support this ambitious transformation journey, we are seeking a SAP Project Manager who will report directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving the functional evolution of the SAP landscape, ensuring successful delivery of the S/4HANA program and acting as a bridge between business stakeholders, IT teams and implementation partners.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the functional SAP S/4HANA Greenfield transformation program across the Group.
- Define and execute the SAP functional roadmap in alignment with business strategy and organizational objectives.
- Drive business process harmonization and redesign, promoting SAP best practices across different business areas.
- Lead and coordinate SAP functional streams, ensuring effective collaboration between business functions, IT and external implementation partners.
- Manage a multidisciplinary SAP organization of approximately 50 professionals, including 20 internal resources, functional leads, business analysts, project managers and external consultants.
- Oversee functional areas including Finance & Controlling, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Logistics and other business processes.
- Establish effective program governance, monitoring progress, risks, priorities and delivery milestones.
- Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing regular updates to the CIO and executive leadership.
- Ensure business readiness, change management and adoption throughout the transformation journey.
- Support the evolution and growth of the internal SAP organization, fostering knowledge sharing and capability development.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior SAP leader with a strong track record in enterprise transformation programs and functional SAP delivery.
Required Experience
- Extensive experience managing SAP functional transformation programs within complex organizations.
- Proven experience leading SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementations from design through go-live.
- Strong understanding of SAP functional processes and business transformation methodologies.
- Experience managing large SAP teams, including internal employees, business representatives and external consulting partners.
- Ability to operate effectively with senior business stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Strong experience in program governance, delivery management and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer goods or similar environments.
- Experience managing complex organizations with multiple business units or brands.
- Experience working with international System Integrators and SAP consulting partners.
- Knowledge of Agile and hybrid project delivery methodologies is considered a plus.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems or related disciplines.
SAP certifications and/or recognized project management certifications are considered a plus.
