Core responsibilities
- Build and modify conversational flows across dialog, orchestration, and knowledge layers
- RAG / knowledge-retrieval tuning
- Own escalation logic: transfer conditions, routing destinations, context payload, and reason-code registration
- Experience with LLM-driven conversation: prompt behavior, guardrail design, and awareness that models generate content nobody authored
- Integrate backend systems through the established handler layer
- Author automated tests — unit tests plus platform conversation-level test cases — and maintain the regression suite
- Build and own CI/CD: validation, test execution, and gated promotion across environment tiers
- Own deployment and rollback; act as first responder for production incidents
- Independently diagnose and remediate defects to root cause, with a regression test accompanying every fix
- Own configuration and feature-flag governance
- Maintain design, test, and state documentation in alignment with running behavior
- Reconcile inbound platform changes that originate outside version control, classifying behavioral versus cosmetic impact
