Tech Delivery Subject Matter Expert – Java Developer (m/f/d)

Location: remote – occasional onsite meetings in Frankfurt or other European cities for workshops

Description:

Drive innovative delivery practices and serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and stakeholders. Shape the clients strategies using deep expertise in Java, emerging technologies, and Delivery Methods.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Primary Skills: Expert proficiency in Java (Programming Language) – required
  • Expert proficiency in Technological Innovation (recommended)
  • Expert proficiency in ADM, Service Delivery, and Delivery Excellence (suggested)
  • DLT and Blockchain Architecture: Extensive experience with DLT, blockchain, Web3, EVM-compatible networks, and Hyperledger Besu; ability to design scalable, secure, and resilient Layer 1 and Layer 2 architectures; experience integrating DLT platforms into existing enterprise IT and distributed environments.
  • Cross-Chain Interoperability: Strong knowledge of cross-chain interoperability, protocols, and DLT network integration; experience with blockchain bridges, cross-chain transfers, and oracle-based data exchange; ability to identify and mitigate interoperability, security, and scalability risks.
  • Smart Contract Development: Experience designing, developing, deploying, and testing EVM-based smart contracts; strong knowledge of smart contract security, validation, and auditing practices; experience with functional, integration, performance, and security testing.
  • Tokenization and Digital Assets: Strong knowledge of tokenization standards, concepts, and settlement processes; experience covering the full asset lifecycle, from issuance and management to settlement and redemption; ability to develop end-to-end solutions for tokenized assets and collateral.
  • Wallet and Custody Solutions: Experience with wallet integration, transaction signing, and DLT network access; knowledge of private-key management and cryptographic security controls; experience with institutional custody and digital asset safekeeping solutions.
  • Software Development: Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Go, and/or Rust; experience developing web applications, backend services, and blockchain-related APIs; ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and working solutions.
  • DevOps and Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure software delivery; experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments; understanding of infrastructure security, monitoring, and operational requirements.
  • Financial Services: Experience in regulated financial services, financial-market infrastructure, or central-bank environments; understanding of collateral management, tokenized collateral, and digital asset settlement; experience designing and evaluating DLT-based prototypes with central banks or comparable institutions.

Work location: 

  • work is in general remote from Germany, but includes onsite workshops in Frankfurt and eventually in other European capital cities
