About the Role
Client is the leading Trade Promotion Management, Deductions, and Revenue Growth Management platform built natively on Salesforce. We help some of the world’s most recognized consumer goods brands plan smarter, execute with precision, and measure what matters.
As a Business Solutions Consultant, you will serve as the primary delivery and relationship owner across a portfolio of CPG clients. You are the bridge between technical excellence and business impact — guiding clients from implementation through long-term solution adoption. Your success is measured by client outcomes: on-time, on-budget delivery; deep platform utilization; and clients who view you as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor.
This role is ideal for a seasoned consultant with 5–7 years of experience who combines strong CPG domain knowledge, structured project delivery skills, and the interpersonal presence to earn credibility at the executive level.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders at all levels — from end users to C-suite — that extend well beyond the implementation lifecycle.
Lead executive-facing business reviews, articulating solution value, adoption progress, and strategic recommendations in business terms.
Design and execute client change management plans, including communication strategies, stakeholder alignment, and adoption milestones.
Serve as the escalation point for client issues, ensuring timely resolution and transparent communication throughout.
Consultative Delivery
Guide leading consumer goods companies through business process and technology improvements across the full TPM lifecycle: Annual Planning, Budgeting, Customer Planning, Retail Execution, Settlements, Deductions, Measuring & Reporting, and Category Optimization.
Lead discovery workshops, requirements sessions, and solution design reviews — facilitating diverse audiences from front-line users to senior leadership.
Translate complex client business processes into clear functional requirements and scalable CPG Product configurations.
Share best practices, industry expertise, and lessons learned with clients and internal colleagues in both structured and informal settings.
Project Execution
Own all phases of CPG product implementation projects: scoping, requirements definition, configuration, UAT, training, and go-live.
Partner with the Project Manager to develop and maintain project plans, track issues and risks, manage scope, and keep delivery on schedule and within budget.
Leverage a prescriptive, consultative approach to guide clients toward repeatable and scalable business processes, using prior implementation experience to anticipate common pitfalls.
Conduct end-user training and knowledge transfer, including documentation of configurations, workflows, and best practices.
Work both on-site and remotely with clients to elicit requirements, develop solution designs, and implement client products.
Internal Contribution
Act as a feedback loop between clients and the product team, surfacing recurring pain points, feature requests, and opportunities for platform improvement.
Contribute to internal knowledge bases, playbooks, and onboarding materials to elevate the broader consulting team.
Qualifications
Experience: 5–7 years in a client-facing consulting, implementation, or customer success role, preferably within enterprise SaaS.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, Information Systems, or Marketing preferred). MBA or Master’s degree a plus.
CPG Domain Knowledge: Meaningful familiarity with Trade Promotion Management (TPM), Revenue Growth Management (RGM), deductions, or retail execution workflows. Candidates should bring either CPG industry experience in sales or finance with TPM software exposure, or demonstrated experience as a consultant deploying TPM/RGM solutions.
Communication: Proven ability to lead structured client meetings, facilitate workshops with large or senior audiences, and communicate with precision at all organizational levels.
Project Delivery: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, define deliverables, track issues, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25–30% for on-site client workshops, go-lives, and executive meetings.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Salesforce Platform: Hands-on experience with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, or a native Salesforce application) is highly preferred.
AI Proficiency: Demonstrated use of generative AI tools to accelerate work product creation, synthesize technical documentation, or streamline client communication workflows.
Change Management: Experience designing and executing organizational change plans in the context of software implementations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively across technical, product, and commercial teams in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Analytical Mindset: Comfort working with data — whether validating configuration outputs, reviewing promotional P&Ls, or evaluating deductions aging — to surface actionable insights for clients.
