We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS Technical Lead to act as the main point of contact for business and technical teams regarding SAP landscape operations, performance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Coordination
- Act as the main point of contact for business teams on SAP BASIS topics
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to the BASIS team
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams
Production Support & Operations
- Manage SAP production environments and ensure system stability
- Handle incident management (L2/L3) and problem resolution
- Perform performance analysis and system optimization
- Manage change requests and system improvements
SAP Landscape Management
- Setup and maintain SAP system landscapes
- Support system refresh, upgrades, migrations, and patching
- Manage transports (release, execution, monitoring, troubleshooting)
System Administration & Monitoring
- Monitor and troubleshoot:
- ABAP dumps
- Batch jobs
- Interfaces and integrations
- Printers and spool systems
- Implement SAP Notes (technical, functional, security)
- Ensure system availability and reliability
Projects & Upgrades
- Lead technical activities for:
- SAP upgrades
- S/4HANA migrations
- Support package implementations
- Participate in project delivery and go-live phases
Database & SAP HANA
- Support SAP HANA environments
- Perform DB upgrades, migrations, and refresh activities
Requirements
- Strong experience in SAP BASIS (5+ years minimum)
- Proven experience in SAP HANA environments
- Solid knowledge of SAP NetWeaver systems
- Experience with ITSM tools and processes
- Ability to work in complex environments and coordinate multiple teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
