We are looking for a hands-on SPM Developer with practical experience configuring Strategic Portfolio Management modules and operationalizing portfolio processes (Demand → Project → Resource → Financials). The role is build-focused and requires the ability to translate business portfolio concepts into ServiceNow configuration, logic, and data models.
Core Responsibilities
- Configure and extend SPM solutions across:
- Demand/Intake
- Portfolio & Project Management
- Resource/Capacity Planning
- Financial Planning (Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Plans)
- Design and maintain data models & relationships across initiatives, products, projects, and financial plans
- Implement integrations between SPM and third-party systems (Finance, HR, Agile/Execution)
- Configure scoring models, prioritization logic, status reports, KPIs, and dashboards
- Ensure platform configuration reflects real-world SPM workflows (intake → prioritization → funding → execution → tracking)
- Work closely with architects for scalable, supportable design
- Support upgrades and application version changes
Technical Expectations
- ServiceNow SPM module configuration (not theoretical)
- Data schema understanding and relational modeling
- Good working knowledge of Transform Maps, Data Loads, API-driven integrations
- Ability to explain why certain mechanisms/workflows are chosen
- Practical troubleshooting — not generic or superficial
Experience
- 3+ years ServiceNow SPM or PPM (Strategic Portfolio preferred)
- Proven build/configuration work (not just admin)
- Exposure to financial/capacity constructs is a plus but not required
